I am a whisky enthusiast and am often asked by friends and others 'I like a wee dram - what would you recommend?' Or friends and famliy will ask for tips, recommendations and so on. As you all know, the world of whisky is HUGE and taste is entirely subjective, so it's difficult to give a 'newbie' some decent markers on where to start or what to buy. A few weeks ago however, I came across the chaps at Master of Malt - they've produced a really good set of whisky guides and a whisky buyers guide for a new drinker - which does a fairly good job of letting people know where / how to start. It's not exhaustive, but I've used it a few times already to good effect on whatsapp to some people who need a first rung of the ladder to climb! See what you think! Here's the ultimate guide to whisky (https://www.masterofmalt.com/guides/whisky-guides/)and here is the beginners buyers guide to whisky(https://www.masterofmalt.com/whisky-buyers-guide-for-beginners/)
