Hey everyone, So I decided to drink some makers mark 46 after not drinking since may. Took off the stopper that came with it and found this hard crystal like grown on the plug? It doesnt rub off easily. As far as i know the bottle was sealed with that stopper. I even turned the bottle upside down and it didnt leak so I doubt the seal is broken. Anyone else see this stuff before? Thanks!
Looks like corrosion to the metal. Alcohol is pretty powerful. Stick with the corks or screw tops that come with the bottles.
